International standard monuments, statues to be erected

(Kumilachew Abebe) Alfasol Graphics in collaboration with Addis Ababa Millennium secretariat has finalized preparations to erect international standard monuments and statues around major squares of Addis.

Alfasol General Manager, Solomon Asefa said these transcendental artistic works is believed to symbolilize all nations and nationalities of the country symbolically.

It was learnt that efforts have been made to gain knowledge from the experiences of Florence, Italy, a city which is known for its sublime architectures and monuments.

The Addis Ababa Millennium Secretariat’s Director ,Kiros H/Silassie said in his part that the monuments and statues will greatly contribute to pass over the country’s history for the coming generation.

In line with this, Addis Ababa University Graphics and Fine Art school lecturers will take part in carving out these artistic works.

Some 82 projects which are considered to be in agreement with the objectives of the Secretariat are underway in collaboration with the secretariat.
