International standard musical performances glowed the metropolis.

Internationally renowned singers and Ethiopian star vocalists glowed the city of Addis and the  people with a dazzling musical extravaganza on the eve of the new Ethiopian Millennium Celebration.

The Musical performances were staged simultaneously at the Addis Ababa Stadium, Jan Meda and at the Millennium Hall , built on purpose to host the millennium festivities.

Accompanied by a state of the art light effects and sound system the International and Ethiopian stars entertained the gatherings till the down of the new millennium.

At Addis Ababa Stadium and Jan Meda more than 30 famous Ethiopian vocalists, Theatres Traditional music performers, circus Ethiopia, Women's band and many other groups entertained the spectators,

The millennium Hall, which is the first of its kind in Africa, hosted international Hip Hope and Rage stylists. The appearance of the renowned Black Eyed Peas has made the scene glamorous.

People who remained at home have got the opportunity to enjoy  the three shows through live TV transmission.

The jubilation raised to climax when the city's sky glowed with the spectacular fire works display which heralded the beginning of the New Ethiopian Millennium.
Similarly, a grand music concert has been staged at Jan Meda on Sept 16th,2007. The concert was attended by more than half a million city residents. In this concert famous Ethiopian singer like Aster Awoke, Tewodros  Tadesse, Ephrem Tamiru and many other have entertained the spectators from mid day-day to mid-night.
