Secretariat to launch Hospitality Contest

(Martha Endrias) The Addis Ababa Millennium Secretariat has finalized preparations to launch Hospitality Contest among Hotels, Tourism and related services providers.

In a press briefing held at Hilton Hotel, Director of the Secretariat, Ato Kiros H/ Silassie said that the Contest is intended to promote and build up the highly praised Ethiopian culture of hospitality.

Project’s Information, Communication and Promotion Department head of the Secretariat, Ato Biruk G/Medhin in his part said that the Contest is of paramount importance in materializing the Secretariat’s vision, making Addis a preferred city for Tourism and Investment.

The Secretariat will begin undertaking the Contest beginning from September 30, 2007 to February 25, 2008.

International Standard Hotels, ranging from1-5 stars, Standard Restaurants, National and International Flight Service providers, Travel and Tour Operators and Hotel and Tourism Training Institutions will compete to win the Millennium  “Marvelous Hospitality” award.
