Lideta Sub-City celebrate Millennium

The Lideta Sub-City celebrated the Millennium Yesterday at Hotel De Afrique. The Sub-City will carry on the Millennium celebration throughout the year undertaking various development activities like sanitation and reforestation.

Residents of the Sub-City had contributed in cash and in labor force for the tree planting sanitation and other development endeavors.

Other governmental and non governmental organizations also contributed a lot in beautifying roads and pedestrian walk ways.

Fantu urged residents and other organizations to further strengthen the development activities.

The Addis Ababa Millennium Secretariat Projects, Information, Communication and Promotion Department head Ato Biruk Gebremedhin presented a paper on “behavioral changes in the Millennium”. In the paper, Biruk underscore the need to bringing about behavioral changes. He said that developing the culture of discourse is vital to bring into being a visionary generation.
